for something to have a “demise” it had to have once been “alive” and I’m not sure this channel really ever was.

Be sure to turn the sound down before you select the channel, though.

There was a time when pMSNBC had a bit of a pulse... there was a day when they had some computer/tech oriented shows on. But that was a long time ago.

MSNBC is the network of progressives and for progressives. Yet, there is nothing progressive about the network’s employees being terrified to speak up for fear of losing their jobs. Progressives also like to think of themselves as the people who ‘have a heart.’ Thus, there is nothing progressive about making fun of a difficult and terrible experience of youth acknowledged by one who has suffered from the event, even if she happens to be the wife of a former president you don’t like. It’s mean – and it contributes absolutely nothing to the political dialogue.

No that's just how "progressives" operate when they have power.

Proof positive that LIBs are truly insane. MSNBC = elevator music, indeed!

the tone of the network provided the comfort required

I've never listened to MSNBC, but anyone not in a hospital bed who "requires" the "tone" of ANY TV network is sick.

Back in the beginning days I used to have the weather channel on as my background noise. But that stopped with their incessant Global Warming push. I replaced it with Fox.

Now I hardly ever have it on. And I’m sure the WC never figured out why it lost a swatch of viewers in the 00’s.

...Olbermann can’t seem to let go of a president who is now a part of history. Indeed, he still ends each and every show with a reference to Bush’s hapless ‘mission accomplished’ speech on the USS Abraham Lincoln back in 2003 despite the fact that well over a year has passed since the man exited the public stage.

Enough already. Isn’t it time that we all move on and focus on what’s happening today and the days to come?

Imagine the audience FOX would command if it really WERE a conservative network!

Speaking as one who’s done it, the TV in the hospital is very important to someone who needs to keep their mind off other things.

The only problem is, several times I’ve been in the hospital I’ve been NPO, and the red lobster commercials are killer when you are NPO.

There’s a lot of food on TV, and you don’t realize it until you can’t have it.

Do they still play what sounds like music from a porno film on the Weather Channel? I always jokingly called it my hubby’s porn channel, he was addicted to it. Now he realizes that he is better at predicting the weather than they are, he only watches it when storms are coming in to track them.
