Is a Congressional Campaign Being Funded With Your Tax Dollars? Earlier this year Stephen Fincher, a Republican candidate vying for John Tanner’s seat in the eighth Congressional District, caused quite a stir by raising over $300,000 in campaign contributions in just a few weeks....

However, a closer look at the source of his campaign funding reveals that Mr. Fincher, along with his supporters, might be part of the problem rather than a possible solution. Over 90 percent of Fincher's campaign funding came from farming families that have been recipients to almost $80,000,000 in federal farm subsidies. These subsidies are a complicated web of taxpayer-funded entitlements that tend to benefit large farming operations, and processing facilities. The Fincher family has been the recipient of nearly $6,000,000 of these funds.

The Fincher Family raked in more than $800,000 worth of this corporate welfare during 2007 alone....

....According to the EWG, farm income exceeded $84,000 per household on average in 2007, compared to an average income for all U.S. households of $50,233. Yet, in 2008, the current Representative, John Tanner (D), voted not once, but twice, in favor of a farm bill that would raise the limit on farm subsidies to 150 percent of the previous limit. This would send even more taxpayer money to those already significantly more financially well off than the average American. Considering the fact that 90 percent of Mr. Fincher's donors, including his own family, are benefiting from this type legislation, it would be reasonable to assume that Mr. Fincher would find himself beholding to such subsidy recipients who have donated to his campaign. Following the money makes suspect Mr. Fincher’s claim that he would be able to represent the 8th District in a fiscally conservative manner once elected.

This sounds like the $300 Million "Louisiana Purchase" that was a slush fund for desperate Dem candidates. Read on.

FOR YOUR REFERENCE A provision in the Senate healthcare bill sends $100 million to Louisiana to cover Medicaid "for the poor." Plus $200 Million for (cough) Katrina costs. Louisiana's Mary Landrieu (posing as a holdout) said, as the vote loomed: "I've decided that there are enough significant reforms and safeguards in this bill to move forward." (Sniffle) Landrieu voted "for the poor." Now she can flaunt her "tolerance and compassion (sob).

Landrieu Dumps Cash On Hopeless Democrats
The Hayride | 1/8/2010 | MacAoidh / FR Posted by Hayrider

According to a report at CQPolitics.com today, Louisiana’s senior Senator Mary Landrieu has been busy cutting checks to help the fortunes of sagging Democrats around the country. (Excerpt) Read more at thehayride.com ...

NATIONAL DEMS TO THROW SUPPORT BEHIND MITCH LANDRIEU IN MAYOR'S RACE IN EXCHANGE FOR MARY'S VOTE
Dead Pelican | Chad E. Rogers /FR Posted by chemicalman

Jan 3, 2010---Once believed to be the front runner in the New Orleans mayoral election, state Sen Edward Murray has dropped out! Sources say Murray's exit has made Lt. Governor Mitch Landerieu (Mary's brother) the new front runner, and it will he will be difficult to beat (ED. he won).

This is partly because the DNC plans to provide massive amounts of cash in support of Mitch Landrieu's mayoral bid. Mitch's backing by the DNC comes as part of a deal his sister Sen Mary Landrieu struck with the Obama White House.

Mary Landrieu received $300 million in medicaid/Katrina funding in exchange for her vote to begin debate on the Obama health care proposal. But sources say that Landrieu's vote has also secured DNC support for her brother Mitch in the New Orleans mayor's race. "She's doing something nice for little bro' on her way out," said a top insider....who expects Landrieu to lose reelection.

=============================================

Obama has already accumulated huge slush funds:

(a) 80% of the trillion dollar stim is unspent and under his control, being hoarded for Dem campaigns.

(b) June 9, 2009 Obama announced, "Several financial institutions are set to pay back $68B to taxpayers." Taxpayers assumed that would be returned to the general funds from whence it had come .......in order to pay down the debt. The truth, however, is that the money returned is finding new life in the US Treasury, as part of what is essentially a Treasury-controlled slush fund (Rahm Emanuel controls the US Treasury).

(c) The first four years of ObamaCare is to amass $$billions. Period. Free govt healthcare does not kick in til 2014. Pushes much of the healthcare costs from the federal budget and onto the private sector by requiring individuals and employers to purchase health insurance....or pay a hefty fine or go to jail (only illegals are exempt from this provision).

ACTION The FBI should interrogate Fincher and his associates to determine what they received of value---money, jobs, campaign contributions, political cover---in exchange for votes, and the extent of the collusion to misuse Congressional influence.

POSSIBLE CHARGES: illegal conversions; facilitating govt fraud; official acts prohibited; misuse of Congressional funds; abuse of public office; violating oath of office; misuse of government position; abuse of government power; conflict of interest; influence buying; conspiracy to deceive; misuse of elective office, collusion, conspiracy to collude; falsifying official documents, presenting false instruments for filing.

Fincher's official campaign finance records filed with the FEC, and state election commissions, should be scrutinized for possible violations. (a) Determine if names of contributors are legit, (b) whether campaign contributions were disguised. (d) whether he colluded and agreed to give/get something of value, campaign assistance, campaign cash, a govt gratuity, jobs for relatives, etc, in exchange for votes.
