...good!...like women’s studies, ethnic studies are a waste of taxpayer money and a rip off of student’s tuition money...they’re worthless degrees.
To: ilovesarah2012
the Arizona Legislature sent Gov. Jan Brewer a bill Thursday that would ban ethnic studies programs in the state Why are tax payer dollars being used to pay teachers of such useless subjects? Sack all teachers of these stupid “studies” and send them to San Francisco.

Wow, talk about a ROLL!
Go AZ!
Let’s see - what would be next on the list?
Banning affirmative action? Do we dare dream?

They are PERFECT degrees for going into government.
You can bet that the left actively recruits people with these degrees to be in “civil service”.

I hope she signs it.
In my humble opinion, these “courses” should be forbidden and declared UNAMERICAN.
It’s fine and dandy to devote time to French, Japanese, Jamacian, Honduran, Rhodesian (yeah I know it’s now Zimbabwe), Ukranian HISTORY.
But these so-called courses are not about the past; they are carving out groups, not only in the future but in the here and right now. These are feeder operations for the grievance industry and we should stomp them out like a slow bug trying to cross the freeway.
And btw, ditto for the gender studies and the LGBT bunch.
Enough is enough.

I agree. Let’s get back to educating students and not indoctrinating them.
Arizona is sounding better and better.

I noticed that Barry was wearing a garlic necklace this morning. This sudden outbreak of raging good sense in the middle class must scare the poop out of our rulers.

The new bill would make it illegal for a school district to teach any courses that promote the overthrow of the U.S. government, promote resentment of a particular race or class of people, I wonder...does this bill also apply to the State Universities? If not, why not?
