Look All...
I just finished my training to do this in-person follow-up.
At least where I am, there was no bias or oddities.
That’s what I signed on to find out.
So far, all at the street level where I am is legit.
Updates as the followup progresses.
This would not be necessary if people sent in the original mailings. So there..
Hey bossmechanic come to my house. I’d love it.
My form had 50 questions and I ain’t about to answer them.
Original form?
I never received a “the census form is coming, the census form is coming” I never received the census form itself (short or long form) and I never received the letter to hurry and send it back in. oh yeah, and I live in a red district. I called the census line several times asking for a for-—it was never sent to me. And as a last resort, I tried to get a form at the local library-—the one in my red district said that they never got them. I called the library in the nearby blue district, was told they had them. When I got there the next day to pick one up I was informed that they were no longer available......
So, tell me, what more was supposed to do?
My dad’s doing it, too, because he needs a job.
He retired from the oil industry a few years ago, after working at the same plant for 30+ years.
Just 3-4 years into retirement, after bad advice from H&R Block, he owes the government back taxes and cannot afford to pay all his bills - so I’ve taken his phone bill, and his cable/internet bill, plus put him on my car insurance.
Thank you to God for the provisions and the ability to do such a thing.
I signed-on as an enumerator, also. All of the questionaires are optically scanned — that’s the difficult part. The forms must be clean, unfolded, and the handwriting must be legible in order to be “read” by the scanners.
They showed up at my house a couple hours ago, and I sent mine in the day after I got it.
