Respected journalist Yaakov Achimeir says the tightly-contested upcoming British elections do not bode well for Israel.
At this point, Achimeir told Arutz-7s Hebrew newsmagazine on Wednesday, it does not appear that either of the two large parties - neither Labor, which is currently in power, nor the Conservatives (Tories) - will receive a majority on May 6. Whoever wins will therefore need to bring in the 3rd-largest party, namely the Liberal Democrats, to form a coalition. It is clear that Lib-Dem leader Nick Clegg will have the ability to decide who will be the next British Prime Minister Gordon Brown of Labor or David Cameroon of the Conservatives.

Clegg is one of the New Euro Leftists and as such, has no time for Israel, but plenty for the Pali’s and Muslims.

The UK already has Muzzie-hugging US-hating shit-for-brains Prince Charles next in line to the phony throne. Thanks Nachum.

Is it sad that the best thing for Israel would be if 20% of LAbour and LibDem supporters voted for the fascist BNP? Taht would allow the wet Tories to pick up more seats. And Griffin, though a "reformed" antisemite is neutral on Israel, whihc is far better than Clegg.
I still blame the Leftist Cameron and the traitorous Tories.

It is going to be ugly, and I doubt the coalition (whatever it is) will last long. Most likely it will be a Conservative-Labour coalition, not unlike Merkel’s first coalition in Germany. Remember how she had a decent lead in the polls heading into the election, and yet it melted away like a late frost early in the morning? That’s how it is shaping up IMHO, an analogous situation (Tories peaked late, then started to fade), and Labour has less to gain from partnering with the LDs, should they even come in first (which is not likely).

- Why U.K. election looks like a squeaker [Fareed Zakaria]
- Update: UK Election Daily: New Poll Shows Labour Vote Steady
- United Kingdom general election, 2010 -- "The United Kingdom general election of 2010 will be held on 6 May to elect one MP in each of the 650 constituencies to the House of Commons, the lower house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The election was called on 6 April, and Parliament was dissolved on 12 April for the ensuing campaign... The Liberal Democrats hope to make gains from both sides... to hold the balance of power in a hung parliament... The Scottish National Party... have set themselves a target of 20 MPs and will also be hoping to find themselves in a balance of power position. Equally, Plaid Cymru is seeking gains in Wales. Smaller parties... (United Kingdom Independence Party, Green Party, British National Party) will look to extend their representation to seats... The Democratic Unionist Party will be looking to maintain, if not extend, their number of seats, currently the 4th largest party in the House... For the first time at a British election, the three main party leaders engaged in a series of televised debates, modelled on the debates held in US presidential elections."
