Oooh! ODSD - Obama Double Standard Disease - I like it! That should fit nicely on a bumper-sticker. What about the companion diagnosis, Obama Double Standard Syndrome - ODSS? One might say that the ODSS are against us, perhaps? Certainly the ODSS are not on our side!
Jobs “created or saved” is one of the biggest scams of all time.
Suppose I have an obsolete manufacturing plant, employing 1500 people. It is too labor-intensive to be economical, and must be modernized to be profitable, or closed.
I cajole the government into providing “stimulus” funds by threatening to close the plant or move its operations offshore.
After renovation, I permanently lay off 500 employees who are no longer needed in my shiny new efficient plant, retaining 1000.
The government crows that its massive spending has thereby “created or saved” 1000 jobs at my plant, despite the net loss of 500.
Who said obama had standards?.
