bull..Bush wouldnt do anything about illegals either..why wont the fed government enforce the law and protect us???? that is the question.
Because Bush was doing the bidding of those who helped elect him --Wall Street bankers. It wouldn't do them any good for him to start kicking their new customers out of the country, now would it?
For example, just three weeks after his inauguration, Bush met with Vicente Fox to hammer out the details of the Partnership for Prosperity Agreement (with Mexico), which was signed on September 6, 2001. (coincidence, eh?)
That lead to the formation of the New Alliance Task Force, which brought together, banks, federal banking regulators and the Mexican government to find ways to bring Mexican illegal aliens into the US banking system to obtain US bank accounts, credit cards, business, auto and HOME loans.
This lead to Bush hobbling interior and border enforcement by ordering the CBP and ICE to stand-down and started a marketing campaign to encourage illegal aliens to cross the border into the US. The Mexican government was only too happy to help by publishing a comic book that told future illegal aliens how to cross the border.
The rest, as they say, is history.
For the nitty-gritty details, see my FR home page.
For the record, all of the above programs are still in place and doing the jobs they were designed to do --let Mexican illegal aliens help enrich Wall Street bankers.
