Rebellion is brewing!

That's what you get when you have a Brewer for governor!

I hope that now that Arizona has taken the lead in taking a stand to enforce the law, others will follow. (Texas?) I do hope that Arizona doesn’t back down to the will of the leftists but stands firm. Now, for the P.R.C (Peoples Republic of Collie-fornia), I agree with a boycott... and I have no problem boycotting the P.R.C and it’s export products. For any fellow wine drinkers, might I recommend some fine Texas wine?

Insight Computers is located in Tempe, Arizona. They located there because of low outbound shipping rates (lots of trucks bringing stuff in, and leaving empty). They thought of moving but this was such a great advantage they’ve just stayed there.

Dial soap company is headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ.

Discount Tire (or America’s Tire) is also headquartered in Scottsdale.

PetSmart is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

Stone Cold Creamery is based in Phoenix.

The infamous GoDaddy Internet (think Danica Patrick) hosting company is based in Scottsdale.

U-Haul is a long-time Phoenix, Arizona company (a couple of my cousins work there).

Here’s an AZ based internet brownie business. Free shipping to military, too – double good deeds!

For the ladies (or guys looking for a Mother’s Day gift)– I found Queen of the Night products through Arizona Highways magazine two years ago. The scent is named for a desert cactus that blooms only one night a year.

I can definitely say that the quality of the products is high; have reordered several times. They make great gifts, too. From the website: “Those who wear the women’s perfume often also love the lingering essence of our scented candle in their home. This makes it an especially popular choice for Southwest gifts and Arizona souvenirs.”

Also Sabaku Nature Art clothing. The name is Japanese but the garments are designed by Nancy Lenches, a Tucson field biologist turned artist. All of the garments are made in USA, not in China. I’ve worn the shirts for six years and just love them. The business is a small one run by Nancy and her husband.

The Volks-Ware company itself, which began as a woman-run business offering hiking gear and other sturdy outdoor stuff for women (back in the days when the quality stuff was all sized for guys), is also based in Surprise, AZ, a suburb of Phoenix. (Guys– they also carry unisex items and have some great online sales. Enjoy!)

Well, this is a shame. When I saw this post, I was reminded of some deliciously spicy pistachios my parents got as a Christmas gift this year. When I checked out their web site, I was disappointed to see they are from New Mexico, but they are good none the less. Let’s keep them on our list in case New Mexico wakes up also and passes similar legislation.

Shamelessly stolen from HillBuzz’s website posts. They are advocating an Arizona BUYcott!

And you know what else? The illegal-o-philes are boycotting Arizona, BUT the BUY ARIZONA movement (buy-cott) has gotten bigger than the boycott!

Here's a wonderful FR thread to find all kinds of things you can mail-order from Arizona companies. Contact ideas to show approval for the governor of Arizona, and some lovely ideas for the HOORAY FOR ARIZONA BUYERS' DELIGHT:

BUY ARIZONA.

My favorite today was Arnie backing off a California boycott because California is sending their prisoners to Arizona and don’t want us to say: “well then take back your criminals”

The more conservatives in AZ the better. Support Dillon Precision (top notch reloading and firearm supplies in Scottsdale), Prescott Brewery is the #1 AZ Microbrewery, Prescott is a strong conservative city (I am a realtor here). Lots of fabulous mountains across the middle of the state above the PHX heat but not so high as Flagstaff. Trust me when I say you can defend yourself here.
