WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Republicans again mustered enough votes on Wednesday to block debate of a Democratic financial regulation reform bill, pushing a standoff over the legislation into its third day.

By a vote of 56 to 42, Democrats for a third time fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance legislation in the 100-member body.

The Senate's Republicans also voted unanimously on Monday and Tuesday to block formal debate on the bill.

Because Warren Buffet is against it and Berkshire Hathaway is in Nebraska maybe?

Harry says Republicans are “un-American” for voting this way. Is he laying groundwork for attack on filibuster? “Go t’ hell, Harry!”

This is good, but how long can it last.

Stupak lasted for a month (?) and then gave-in.

Guess I just don’t trust the RINO bunch, they talk a good story but lack sufficient follow-through.

Also I wonder, what is this a feint for ... what else are they finagling that we just aren’t seeing.

No they got exactly what they wanted... another vote and the press stories that go with it.

Stupak was a liar the whole time.

He was always going to vote Aye, he was just doing a show for the folks back home.

Yeah, I don’t think people are going to fall for the GOP=Obstructionists yet again. The problem is they are going to look like they are protecting Goldman Sachs which is preposterous considering how GS supports Democrats and Democrat policies but that’s the game the Dems are playing for the election.

Seems the Repubs learned the lesson from HCR. Ole Hairy had conned them into voting to bring the HCR Bill up for DEBATE then he claimed THAT vote was for Passage.

Hairy is making the same call. Maybe Repubs and Nelson have figured out DUMs LIE.

No... I think most people despise Wall Street, but more people despise an even MORE corrupt government trying to regulate it.

We'll see. For years now I keep seeing people fall for the same old GOP=Greedy Bigot campaign strategy. And with the mid-terms just on the other side of summer, what are the two big issues? Regulating Wall Street and Immigration? Just as the Democrats planned. It hasn't failed them yet and that's at least one reason why RINOs capitulate.

I know he was. He stung many out though as a ‘slight-of-hand’ trick while other crap was playing out just barely out of eyesight.

Big issue for who?
I don't know anyone who's “big issue” right now is regulating Wall Street, whereby they institutionalize bailouts forever, and remove the power to approve bailouts from the congress to the Sec of the Treasury Geithner.
Just like the 0bamcare bill, the more voters find out about this bill, the angrier they will get against the 0bama regime.
