WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senate Republicans again mustered enough votes on Wednesday to block debate of a Democratic financial regulation reform bill, pushing a standoff over the legislation into its third day.
By a vote of 56 to 42, Democrats for a third time fell short of the 60 votes needed to advance legislation in the 100-member body.
The Senate's Republicans also voted unanimously on Monday and Tuesday to block formal debate on the bill.
Probably because he was vilified for voting for Obamacare and is trying to get himself some brownie points here.
The more time they waste voting to debate the bill, the less time they can spend screwing up our economy and way of life.
It doesn’t matter who you know... it’s what’s on the television nightly whether it’s the news or the late night comedy shows. Sorry, but nothing is going to happen on immigration except a bunch of people will be called bigots and there will some sort of civil rights “incident” in Arizona. And everyone will make jokes about Fat Cats Goldman Sachs and the way the GOP is protecting them. I hate it but it’s predictable. People have short memories and mid-terms are months away now. By then, Obama will casting himself as the guy trying to protect us from Wall Street, defender of the poor immigrant and he’ll amazingly talk all about cutting the deficit and the hard cuts that we need to make. The sheep will lap it up. You forget we’re in Bizaro Land.
However, with more and more reports of Wall Street being in the pockets of the Democrats it will be interesting to see what really happens.

They lack more than follow through-it’s anatomical. If they’ll just hold out until November...

In the real world, it's the Democrats who are being hammered for receiving vast sums from Goldman Sachs, including $1 million from Goldman Sachs to 0bama alone.
You obviously don't listen to conservative radio, which has vastly higher ratings than the late night comedians you are so enamored of.
How many viewers does John Stewart have? Rush alone has 14 million listeners every single day. Hannity is not far behind at 13 million listeners. Those two alone trump all the 3 network news viewers combined.
SmokingJoe...I read what you wrote. I understand what you are saying. I saw Glen Beck last night too. My point is that it’s the Independents who are the suckers here. They are the ones who elected Obama and they are the ones who don’t pay attention and fall for the Democrap lines all the time. Oh and one more thing... Independents in Boston read the Globe NOT the Boston Examiner and I doubt many Independents read the Orange County Conservative Examiner either. Sorry, I don’t mean to be such a downer except we shouldn’t just assume we are going to win big in November. We have to keep at it. My warnings are just that we shouldn’t be over-confident. November is many months and a few more crises away.
