My wife is from the Phillipines and is now a US citizen.

I asked her yesterday, “What is your home country?”.

She proudly stated “The Phillipines”.

I am a Natural born citizen. My Home country is the USA. I would never think of calling Ireland my Home Country.

I just went back and watched (was it the speech to Gays and Lesbians?) and I didn't get the impression you did.

I agree with you that most folks wouldn't think like Michelle O'Wookiee, but we all know Obama hates America...and I wouldn't be surprised if he considered Indonesia higher in his heart that the U.S.

Maybe I was looking at the wrong video, but it just didn't seem like a monumental declaration to me. And certainly not something that would be evidentiary.

All this said, I completely agree that Michelle is proud of her husband's African connection (whatever it is) and his hatred of America!
