This is what I find interesting

“There is a “single mother’s home” in British Columbia (or at least it was in 1961) in Victoria; a couple hours drive from Seattle. Also, there was a new ferry crossing there that Stanley would have had to go across into Canada. Maybe someone has access to the records there? I believe the same ferry is still crossing!”

I would be interested in knowing more about the actual travel time and method from Honolulu to Seattle in 1961, especially for a new mother with an infant barely two weeks old.

What type of airplanes made that run and from Honolulu to where? Etc.
