Do they really think staying at The Grove Park Inn, playing golf there and walking through the Blue Ridge Forest with The Secret Service is middle class?

Middle class my butt. Here are the rates for an April 30 arrival and May 3 Departure for 2 adults and 2 kids in a room that does not have a good view:

I’ll bet our family has had more fun in some of our rickety old pop ups over the years, or cheap family resorts than that group is having! : )

Same here. My first interaction with the SS would have been to show them my CHL. and, then to hold my hands above shoulder level and ask that they take custody of my sidearm(s) until the Presidential party had cleared the area.
No way would I want to be in that situation and armed.

But for the grace of God, that might have been me!
But, as is my custom when hiking these woods, I would have been packing a pistol openly on my hip. I likely would have been tossed by a couple of ear-bud totting suits, handcuffed, and thrown in the slammer on $100,000 bail like the guy from Ohio at the Asheville Airport who made the mistake of showing up with a legally carried pistol when His Majesty was boarding AF One.
That was a close one. It's downright dangerous around here when His Majesty is in town!

Well, I once almost literally bumped into Hillary Clinton at the Arthur Avenue Italian Market. Were it not for a secret service agent, I would have bounced off her fat arse. I had NO idea she was there (it was during the week, when there weren’t that many people in the market).
Not me..I would have asked him “On who’s dime are you spending on this middle class vacation?”
