"If he can push the global-warming legislation aside Mr. Obama can move amnesty for the illegals to the top of his agenda, but this, as any number of Democratic congressmen are telling him loud and clear, is merely substituting a noose for the electric chair for a lot of Democratic incumbents. "It's not a tough vote at all for me," Rep. Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania tells Politico. "I'm not going to vote for amnesty. I'm not going to vote for a path to citizenship, or whatever you want to call it.
It's not like health care where everyone has a dog in the fight. If you come from where I come from, there's no support for [immigration reform] at all."
What visual imagery! Democrats in a noose or electric chair.
Obama is a great Uniter, of the Republican Party!

But WHERE is the republican party bashing Obama for this racist appeal?
They are too stupid to know it but they are letting democrats win the news cycle.
Obama should be trashed for aracial appeal at a time of tension.

No, the best way to win is to let your opponent hang himself.
If Repubs get out in front that just gives the MSM a new target.
Let Zero be the only bullseye.

Glad to see some that Democrats aren't as dumb as I thought they were, well they're still dumb just not insane. I was worried about Amnesty being shoved through, let's hope most Democrats feel like Altmire does.

The Washington Times, not the Washington Post, printed this excellent piece. The Post is still shilling for BO, though it’s getting more and more difficult to hide who he is and what he is doing to change the USA into a Socialist quagmire.
To: Williams
I think the Republicans are taking a sit back and let the Democrats screw themselves attitude, but that’s wrong IMO, the Republicans need to give people a real reason to vote for them, but they’re blowing so many good opportunities purposely it seems. Makes me wonder sometimes how much they agree with the Democrats on these issues. The RNC is useless, I always call them asking them to fight and they just say they’ll pass my message along. It’s very frustrating.

I'm not sure of what your definition of the average person is. If you mean independents, they're leaving Obama in droves and the number will increase as Obama "goes racist".
Don't interrupt the process by giving the MSM new Repub targets to go after IMO.

kitty,
Yes, The Washington TIMES not the *PUKE* Post. I was too concerned about the 300 word limit and goofed.

Americans aren't stupid and don't need some things - like this, which is so obvious - pointed out - some times, like this, it's better to stand back and let the person be hoisted by his own petard...
just stand back and let the rope reel out...

Shep Smith: “The right is getting all wierd about this, aren’t they?”
The Wash Post reporter he’s interviewing says Obama is appealling to “new voters” and many of them “Just happen to be blacks and minorities”.

Rep. Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania tells Politico. "...
It's not like health care where everyone has a dog in the fight. If you come from where I come from, there's no support for [immigration reform] at all."Apparently this moron never looked at the polls about health care reform. So be it. Let him be right on this one and then vote him out.

Apparently this moron never looked at the polls about health care reform. Oh yes he did, especially in his district (PA-4). He voted against it.

I'm not sure what he meant, but he is my Rep, and I have to say that so far, he has not voted against the general sentiment of the people in his district (Western PA including the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh.)
The district can swing between Republican and Democrat pretty easily. The district is socially conservative but generally more "moderate' on economic policy -- clinging to guns and Bibles as Obama would say.
Maybe Peliosi gave him a pass for voting against her. Or maybe he just isn't suicidal, because if he had voted for Health Care, (or this amnesty BS) he would not have had a chance in November.

At least you can keep the pressure on him and keep his votes straight. My former Rep. was the most conservative Rep. in the House and she was replaced by a die hard commie.
