True, but most concerns can be resolved via not broadcasting your SSID and using encryption. Lock it down further if you wish with MAC filtering.

If you broadcast, they will come. ;-)

Man, you don’t get it.

MAC address filter has nothing to do with whether or not you broadcast your LAN MAC address to the world. It is only used for limiting which MAC address can ultimately log in to your network.

If they know your internal MAC address, they know your external MAC address. If your external has been recorded for years by Google, they know everything about you and now know specifically where you live, along with everything you’ve ever been curious about...
