November’s Last Laugh!

What was President Obama’s reaction to hundreds of thousands of citizens taking to the streets across America on tax day? He said at a DNC fundraiser, “I’ve been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes. You would think they would be saying, ‘Thank you.’” That may play to his liberal fans, but most Americans know that big government can’t give anything to anyone that it hasn’t first taken away from someone else. To give, they take away.

Discounting Tea Party participants is like calling your sports opponent a joke before the big game. Such statements just provide motivational ammunition for many upset Americans looking forward to exercising their right to vote in November. Many are eager to clean house on the enablers who have supported President Obama’s ill-conceived policies before he can do further damage to our economy and founding principles.

Maybe the president prefers to make fun of his opponents because he can’t answer their questions. Toward the end of a question-and-answer session with workers at an advanced battery technology manufacturer, a woman asked the president whether it was a “wise decision to add more taxes to us with the health care” package when “we are over-taxed as it is.” Without his trusty teleprompter, the president launched into 17 minute rambling answer that lulled the crowd into a daze.

His confusing response speaks volumes. This inexperienced president had no answer. He’s like a young man excited about his first credit card who buys everything on credit and keeps paying the minimum while his debt explodes.

But adults attending the Tea Party events across America know that it’s our debt he’s exploding! The bill is coming due, and Americans for generations will have to pay for his excesses in higher taxes, higher fees for everything imaginable, and a possible VAT or sale tax. Somebody must feed the beast he’s birthed as it grows!

The Tea Party movement isn’t a dangerous display of civil unrest; it’s democracy in action. Why do they often hold their events after hours or on the weekend? These people work. They are responsible citizens who play by the rules. They hustle for work, apply their gifts, work hard, save and handle the adversity that comes their way. They take responsibility for themselves. They value liberty over government dependence. These people clean up after their own demonstrations.

When these hard-working Americans read that 47% of Americans pay no income taxes, they resent it. What’s fair about taking from the hard, honorable labor of half of Americans and giving it those who haven’t earned it?

Democrats seem to know nothing about caring for responsible taxpayers. The Tea Party crowd is sending them a message. They are tired of calling people who work hard to accumulate wealth and take care of their families greedy. The greedy ones are the ones who expect that they can elect politicians who will take money from other citizens to meet their wants and needs when they haven’t earned it. Democrats are turning the American Dream into a nightmare of debt and higher taxes!

Many Americans are struggling to right their own ship, and President Obama has the audacity to laugh at the anger they feel for politicians who are just making matters worse. They want real cuts in government budgets, not a more expensive bureaucracy and entitlements we can’t afford. They want smaller government, not bigger government.

In November, Americans will again have an opportunity to send a message to their president via a mid-term election. Mr. President, keep laughing. In November, the Tea Party faithful hope to have the last laugh.

Yah, but Rendell was just on Fox telling us that the Tea Party is an insignificant group, and that there’s only about a thousand of them. Snort.

I’m both amused and outraged when Big Media deigns to ask Tea Partiers if they personally pay too much in taxes, and then get apoplectic if the TP’s say their taxes are about right. “Then what are you protesting for” they shriek ignoring the big debt gorilla in the corner of the room that is about to wreck the house. I’m sure a great deal of Tea Party anger also concerns the growing tumor of big government which is, of course, associated with the huge debt.

Obozo’s attitude is a lot like that of the trash talking and arrogant U of Miami, Hurricanes 1985 Football team who trash talked their University of Tennessee Sugar Bowl opponent. Their constant trash talking denegrating Vols and venerating themselves stuck in the UT players craws. The UT players kept their powder dry and waited until game day. They responded in the Sugar Bowl and delivered a dominating and crushing 35-7 rout over the Canes that was not even that close. Obozo we hear you and cannot wait until Nov 2. It cannot come soon enough.

Obumbler is like the loudmouthed Ahole in school that thinks he is cool and taunts those that never say much.

One day the quiet guy doesn't walk away...he smacks the loudmouth so hard that for the next three generations his grandchildren will limp.

The only thing the quiet guy says before walking away...How do you like me now bitch?

November 2nd is that day!

Obama seems increasingly resigned to the fact that this is going to happen.

His fallback position seems to be to ensure that we have a Watts Riot happening in every sizeable city in America when it does.

Another great example:

Bill Snyder's Kansas State Wildcats beat the #1 ranked Oklahoma Sooners to win the 2003 Big XII Football Championship, 35-7. Before this game many sports experts called the OU football team, “The greatest team ever in the history of college football and “The greatest college football team ever assembled.” Well, K-State beat that great team badly, with what many K-State fans considered “just a pretty good Kansas State football team”, by no means K-State’s greatest team ever.

This was the #1 ranked undefeated OU team that supposedly could beat many NFL teams. All the commentary before the game consisted of how bad OU would win not whether they would win. Well, we K-State fans believed! Many of their fans at the game that day (I was there) were rude, arrogant, and obnoxious. The satisfaction I took in winning that game will be the same satisfaction I take watching Obama and his Rats go down to massive defeat in November.

I remember watching that game live...I was 16 years old...

If I had heard that pre-game speech by Herb, I would have gone into Hanson brothers mode on those Russians...

They’d have felt me for sure!
