"Is it horrible that I chuckled?"

The joke is merely a rehashing of an old and often harmless theme. But what makes this version dangerously different is that here a Jew hating Muslim terrorist - wandering in a desert & desperate for water - is made to be the victim of Jewish greed & deceit. The fact that this version is told by Obama’s National Security Advisor make it astoundingly revealing.

Huh.

And here I thought the joke was on America's enemy, the Taliban. Could a' fooooled me. I here I was a puttin' myself in it, right there with the clever Jewish brothers and a laughin' at the nasty Taliban doofus.

Must be ah see things at face value, sometimes.

I've sometimes wondered whether my Swedish cousins are somehow descendants of Israel. After all, they kind of have a peculiar sense of humor, they like to keep to their own, they do use a lot of Biblical names -- and they actually like to eat pickled fish. It's just gotta be.

Throughout History stereotyping any group of people has NEVER been harmless.
