State Representatives John Fritchey and LaShawn Ford along with Willie Williams, who lost his son to gun violence, call for help in Chicago from the Illinois National Guard during a press conference today at the Thompson Center.

More wonderful news from the “gun free” liberal Utopia of Chicagoland...

Now tell me what did Obama do that was considered so good for the people of the Southside of Chicago that he was elected President?

Great and appropriate quote from a fictional character:
“There’s a reason you separate military and the police
. One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people. When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.”
—Commander William Adama

>State reps want to fight violence with National Guard’s help
This makes me wonder how the media would spin things if AZ tried to fight the violence of the protests against their new immigration law with their national guard...

What he envisions, Fritchey said, is a "heightened presence on the streets," particularly on the roughly 9 percent of city blocks where most of the city's violent crimes occur. Surround the roughly 9 percent of the city blocks with barb wire and an electric fence. At least keep the innocent folks out of the war zone.

This article was in the Chicago Sun-Times yesterday. But *oddly* something is *missing* from this version. In yesterday's article the term 'Marshal' Law was used. Yep, not 'Martial' Law, but 'Marshal' Law.
(my guess is that ace reporterette Kristen Mack put that in)
In any case don't these mopes know that the Military (i.e. IL National Guard) cannot be used for Police, Law Enforcement' purposes, its that 'Posse Comitatus Act' thingy. First Daley would have to declare 'Martial Law' and that'll happen when hell freezes over, or he goes on a shopping spree at 'Handguns 'R' Us'. /s

No! Screw you corrupt, gun-grabbing b*stards! The sick policies of YOUR people in Chicago caused this to take shape. You're on your own.

Here is positive proof gun control laws don't work. Chicago is one of the most oppressive cities in the country as far as gun laws go and yet their crime rate is very high. They don't need to the national guard, they need armed citizens. Instead of admitting their frickin' mistakes liberals continue to call for more and more repression in order to fix their screw ups.
The only cure is to get the liberals(communist, progressives whatever)out of our government.
