http://radioviceonline.com/ ^ | April 25, 2010 | Jim Vicevich

Posted on 04/25/2010 4:26:42 PM PDT by Biggirl

Forgive me for not giving everyone more notice but everything sort of came together in the last 48 hours by everyone (and there was a lot of every ones) involved. I will be returning to WTIC 1080 tomorrow morning at 9 AM as we continue our work to spread of the gospel of personal freedom and individual liberty across New England and really throughout so many states around the country.

This is SUPER and a problem.

I was finally getting lots of things done between 9AM and Noon. Back to the great guests and commentary of Jim Vicevich. This is a GOOD Thing, Connecticut.

(WTIC.COM) on the web.

I felt the same way. After I got over the surprise that WTIC would let go their money maker, I got busy!
Tomorrow I will listen. All is well.

OMG... My prayers have been answered!!! Our beloved Jim Vicevich is back on WTIC!!!

Wow... I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when the negotiations with WTIC went on. Wonder what happened?? WTIC had better pay Jim what he's worth (which is a LOT). He's national syndication material, IMO. Jim is TOO GOOD to only stay on local radio.

mojo114: Yes, I have a CT ping list, although I'm not the "official" Connecticut pinger. I'll happily ping my list here to alert FReepers to this great news, though. WOO HOO!!!

When I saw your thread, I checked the post date at least 3 times. I'm really tired and bleary-eyed, and thought I was seeing things (as in seeing what I wanted to see: Jim is back on WTIC radio).

It's for real... he really is! :o)

Guess I'll have to change my anti-WTIC avatar on the chat room! ;-)

I wrote everybody at WTIC when I heard he'd been canned. Told them I was firing them.

Looks like a lot of us did and it worked!

This is great!

Ah, a reminder of my yout growing up in Vernon, CT. Used to listen to the Sox and Whalers on WTIC...brings a commercial jingle to mind...

“quality service and a whole lot more, like Constitution Plaza and Bill Savits Jewelery Store...”

Yes I just saw the “headline” on http://www.radio-info.com

The story reads as follows:

WTIC-AM, Hartford brings back late-morning host Jim Vicevich, a month after they parted

Vicevich said in March that that “over the course of four months”, he and owner CBS Radio had failed to reach agreement on a renewal, and he was leaving “Sound Off Connecticut.” CBS had made other arrangements, and Vicevich had continued working for Channel 61 TV. But over the weekend, the Hartford Courant reported that Vicevich signed a new deal on Sunday morning, and he comes back to the Farmington studios of talker WTIC (1080) today. Jim says “we continue our work to spread the gospel of personal freedom and individual liberty across New England.”
