If I owed money on anything I own it would scare the crap out of me.
The conditions today make me get everything into hard goods and out of cash(in the bank) and only hold enough green cash to hold me for 6 months.
If we go into full blown depression I will still have an income and the only expenses being property taxes and maintainance, rents will still provide a net income.
L.A. county values have really taken a hit, my home in Glendale has dropped from 1.2million to $800k.
Actually San Diego also, the condo i’m in escrow on sold for $315k just before the crash and i’m buying it for $120k.

This was a long and bloody fight here on FR about a month ago. It's not easy to get your head wrapped around this, but SomeCallMeTim actually said de-valuing our currency. That is inflation, not devaluation. (If the currency is de-valued, it takes more of it to buy the same thing as before. That is inflation).

Obama’s election is the biggest coup by the left, which has been insinuating itself into academics (where “right-thinking” has replaced rationality), economics (where gaming the system is considered a sign of success), family (where US Treasury and rigged family courts are the new “Dad”), religion (where global warming is the original sin and the State is the creator, provider, and dispenser of favors).
The list goes on, but our republic has been subverted into a shell game of perks, pork & payoffs. The biggest b-s-er’s can now sway the plebes, which was the downfall of ancient Greek democracy.
