Tom Finneran: No regrets over whale quip

WRKO radio host Tom Finneran said he has no second thoughts about the disparaging on-air crack he made regarding Howie Carr’s female producer when confronted outside the station’s Brighton studios yesterday.

When asked whether he regretted making the “whale” comment, Finneran told the Herald, “There’s nothing to regret. I’m not making any comment.” The former House speaker also said he had no comment when asked whether station management has talked to him about his remark.

The morning-drive host referred to Carr’s producer as a “whale” during the show last Friday - the same day Carr was slapped with a weeklong suspension for bad-mouthing the station.

Oh,please.I love Howie.I've been a fan since his days with Jerry Williams.But a victim.No...I can't go with that.He signed a contract.RKO held him to it.So did the courts.And now he's reduced to a slave's wage of a million a year for a 20 hour work week.Next time he signs a contract he'll first seek competent legal advice and he'll follow that advice.

The more he plays the "victim card" the less respect I have for him.

Felon Finneran is the perfect example of the democrat view of a "public servant," full of phony bull about The People and public smiles that hide a nasty little person who actually hates and fears the public that doesn't bow and scrape before public officials. He's so full of crap, and so full of himself, and then he puts on his phony exterior of caring about The Little Guy.

Sandy has more talent that that piece of yak crap Finneran could ever dream about. I listened to this guy once when I was out in the Boston area and I almost nodded off driving down 495.

I remember that another Boston host got suspended for calling former (and current) gubernatorial candidate Grace Ross a ‘fat lesbian’. Finneran should also get the penalty box. WRKO would probably get higher ratings with dead air.
