When McCain is re-elected, with the help of his good friend Sarah Palin (active and over-the-top help, not just pro-forma I-owe-you-this help) -- and unfortunately he probably will be re-elected -- he will spend his last term in office -- a long, long, long, long six year term -- getting even with the only real enemies he's ever faced down in America: the Conservatives.

He hates the Conservatives more than he hates any single political group in this country. He certainly doesn't hate liberals. He's spent his career "reaching across the aisle to them". He hates those who criticize him.

And now he's got his chance. Six years, no more worries about re-election, elder-statesman status no matter who is President... and he's going to stick it to us every way he can.

This will be his legacy. Getting even with us.

And Sarah Palin is aiding a abetting that. And so are a lot of other good people.

It's unconscionable.
