I remember Barry Bonds saying he’d never play for the Red Sox, Boston was too racist for him.

I don’t know much about these “personalities” but through a search I found an article from 2006 which states that he is from Michigan and the crew got their start in Atlanta.

In person, the ``Toucher and Rich” crew (which includes hyperactive trivia-whiz Adolfo Gonzalez Jr.) are somewhat calmer than on air, but their camaraderie carries off mike. Toucher, Shertenlieb, and Clark became friends around 2000, while working different shifts at 99X, a rock station in Atlanta. Gonzalez joined the gang as Shertenlieb’s intern during a later stint in Dallas. A buyout at the Atlanta station and the end of Shertenlieb’s Dallas contract gave them an opportunity to reinvent themselves, and an audition last month led to the show.

Both Toucher, who grew up in Michigan, and Shertenlieb, a New York native, expect to fit in better in Boston than they did in the South. ``The way that we do radio is really more appropriate for the Northeast,” says Toucher. They spent much of their first show goofing on their former audiences. ``People are more intelligent, more educated here,” he says. Not, they stress, that the ``Toucher and Rich Show” will be tackling any highbrow topics. ``We’re just talking like we normally talk,” says Shertenlieb.
