they will go home all by themselves, we won't have to do a thing.

Before Mexico became as dangerous as it is lately, that is exactly what was happening. People were going home when the economy tanked and work dried up. But...

Now there are kidnappings going on down there. Anyone that was in the U.S. and banked some money has a high likleyhood of being held for ransom.

Families that get money sent to them from the U.S. are having a family member kidnapped and then a message is sent to the relative living in the U.S. to send payment.

It is going to take much more incentive than whay you point out for them to want to go back home.

You also forget one significant point - many people do. They are not just the employees. They are the employers. The days of Mexicans coming here and taking meanial jobs are long gone. They are you pool repair and supply company, the company you purchased your satellite service from, the guy that sold you your furniture, that owns the company that supplies pallets to you company...you name it.

Yes, I know they are, I know the pool repair guy and satellite service guy who lost their businesses to these guys who hire under the table. I also know a LOT of old line construction companies that had to fold up and go away because they were honorable men who refused to break the law for a buck. These "entreprenures" killed the lively hood for a lot of Americans.I have watched these guys take their illegal workers to the license bureau to get a license and then have them hand it over to them right outside the door.I have spent 65 years in Arizona, I love the Mexican people and their culture has been part of our culture forever, but what we have coming in now is not the same people at all. They are thugs and who take advantage of their workers. I personally know one guy who went to work for one of these "hard working guys". He was supposed to be paid $700.00 but when the time came to pay him all he got was $300.00 and was told that's all he was getting.

Don't even attempt to tell me about these wonderful businessmen and women. Some are I am sure, but the majority are laughing at people like you who defend them while they are putting your boss out of business.

As they come to the attention of LEO they can be deported whether or not there is violence in their home country. If they own a business that is their problem- they will have to sell it or close it and return if laws are enforced.

As far as those subject to violence in Mexico- they can apply to stay here legally for that reason- most are denied but maybe if their citizens go home in numbers they can clean up their country.

Most of what concerns you will be their problem to deal with- if they can’t work and live here they will leave. I see some moving back now just due to the economy and they of course know of the violence.

Remember it is not just Mexicans that are illegals here- they are the majority- but we must remember we have illegals from nearly every country.

Just because dealing with those here now by legally enforcing the laws won’t be easy does not mean we shouldn’t do it. It can be done gradually and it will work.

The alternative is much, much worse for this country. If there is any form of amnesty it will cause mass illegal migration into this country. Whatever the requirements are there will be an attempt to use forged documents to qualify. When politicians even mention amnesty there is a flood of illegals across the border in anticipation. The number given amnesty will be far greater than any number you have heard for illegals, the costs will be out of sight and in my opinion our country will never be the same.

Think about the bureaucratic burden amnesty would put on us, tons of employees would have to be hired to deal with the massive amounts of claims- investigations will bog down our Immigration system. It will require great effort and cost on our part to process amnesty or illegal deportation. I would much rather put that effort into deporting those that are here illegally.

To me it is a no-brainer- they came here illegally and most violate other laws while here. This is not something I want to reward in any way. If immigration laws are meaningless then we need to just throw out all of our laws. Why should anyone be in violation?
