Joining RWG in thanking you for you excellent post.

I wonder why it is we feel the need to always begin compliments of this great man with “GWB made some mistakes” type remarks...

I once kept a file on the qualifers inserted before saying anything good about President Bush. When it became a full-time job, I gave up.

Some that I can remember:
I could say allot of negatives about George Bush, but...
I didn't always agree with President Bush, but...
He did a lot of things I didn't like, but...
He can't talk, but...
I didn't agree with the President 100% of the time, but...

I often asked who they had ever agreed with 100% of the time, but .....

I never received an answer.

I am shocked :) you never received an answer.

I admit to using the “ i didn’t agree with him 100%” line myself.

I have since learned some of the charges even some RINOs made was not true.
For instance i did not know he tried many many times to halt the housing crisis before it got too late.

Then there is the prescription Part D. Dems especially say it was unfunded. Interesting that except for the first year Part D has always cost LESS than it was projected to cost and better yet.
for every $1.00 spent on meds under part D there is a savings of OVER $ 2.00 to Medicare. Now that is a cost saving program
We will never hear about it from MSM

Just A, remember that “unpopularpresidentbush” was his name to most of the so-called reporters who were ‘forced’ to cover him. Because they could not stand to look at or listen to him, they projected that dislike onto the American public, and did their best to keep him hidden from media view.

Ann Compton, for example, would tell her radio audience what President Bush had said but would we hear him actually say it? NO! And I just remembered — after she would report on the White House (about 32 words or less) she would continue with a big “But... [whatever the DNC rebuttal was for the topic.]”

Now we are back to hearing Obama’s voice every half hour — even the stations that use Fox News start every report with Obama’s latest proclamation. It’s the Clinton years again - only worse!

I wonder sometimes at the power of the “mob” mentality and the draw that it has for so many. Scary actually to think about...

The ‘Yeah, Buts’ .... pompous and disingenuous ..
as if they or anyone of us could pass a microscopic
scrutiny of perfection as flawed human beings.
