Great...now here in Maryland (a “sanctuary” freak state) there will be even more illegals taking...always taking.

I believe Republicans want amnesty. I’m interested to see how this plays-out.

Unless you folks start having lots o’ babies, the Muslims are going to outnumber you in the future. Immigration would at least stall this. It would seem that we have a choice between Muslims or Mexicans—unless you all start kickin’-out some more babies.

It’s certainly graphic, I’d never seen it, or anything like it before now. Oh, I’ve seen photos of beheadings and stonings, and the famous pistol shot to the head execution in Nam...but this is...murder at its most graphic. I imagine the photos of Nicole Simpson would be just as bad.

I sincerely hope AZ is a trend setter with this law.

Even if it is, my state, NC, will be one of the last to adopt.

Yep. I’ve lived here my whole life. I’ve seen what it has become. Used to be maybe a murder once a week when I was a kid. It would be BIG NEWS. Now, multiple shootings/killings every day, barely mentioned by “LA Voz” (az republic).

As an example, yesterday. A home invasion with hostages, resulted in Thunderbird High School on lock down, a perp shot dead, the other perp ran back into the house and the house started on fire.

The “La Voz” had a small article, no updates, no comments allowed, on this, and a huge top banner with all sorts of comments, hundreds of photos of the protesters.

When the tea party protested, barely nada.

You are preaching to the choir about unemployment. I lost my job in this financial mess, but what does this bill have to do with unemployment? Unemployment of illegals? good. Do you think they can file for benefits? No way.

The net effect of this bill is to deliver the Latino vote to the democrats. The democrats LOVE this bill. It’s the rallying issue they need for November.

A LOT of Latinos are more sympathetic to Republican ideas than otherwise. They have small businesses, hate the high taxes and government harassment, and oppose abortion and gay rights.

George Bush was making inroads into the Latino vote—maybe up to 40% in Texas went Republican.

Just 10% of the Latino vote going Republican might take some states for the Republican party.

But, with this issue (which the dems intend to capitalize on,
and portray all Latinos as righteously indignant at the Republicans), the Repubs. might just lose enough support to lose important seats and states in November.

Which means, the Congress will be democratic forever and Obama will be re-elected.

Good for PLEA and Spencer. You don’t produce ID as a driver, depending on what they may see in the car or how you act as a driver, your ass can be hauled in. Otherwise you are cited and have to appear. Wonder how many illegals are cited and never appear? I’ll bet every single one that’s cited never appears in court.

FYI, there are FReepers who've written a book titled, "Pursuing Liberty" about folks who've fled oppressive regimes from around the world, to live in America, and who are THANKFUL to be here. Check it out at www dot pursuingliberty dot com. I have no stake in the book, except for the spreading of the hidden message from immigrants who've STOOD IN LINE and did it right for their American citizenship.

Notice, the folks who've waited 10 years for their greencard, followed the rules, etc., get no press. The dude in bandana mask and sunglasses gets photo ops and press.

I was doing some phone work with registered Reps yesterday on updating addresses, and then asked how they were leaning in the Senatorial race...looking pretty good for JD. These are primary voters, BTW. I wasn’t making suggestion, just asked for their opinion.

Egg-zackly.That’s the beauty of Federalism. If you don’t like AZ’s law, don’t live there.(or cross the border illegally from TX instead)

70% of Arizonans supported this bill. Who are the Dems going to rally...the 30% who opposed it?
