EPIC v. Homeland Security: Government has Over 2,000 Photos from Airport Body Scanners
EPIC ^ | 16 April 2010 | EPIC

Posted on 04/23/2010 2:47:53 AM PDT by Palter

As a result of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, EPIC has obtained hundreds of pages of documents from the Department of Homeland Security about the plan to deploy full body scanners in US airports. A letter to EPIC reveals that the government agency possesses about 2,000 body scanner photos from devices that the DHS said earlier "could not store or record images." EPIC has also obtained the most recent device procurement specifications, and several hundred new pages of traveler complaints. For more information, see EPIC: Whole Body Imaging and EPIC: EPIC v. Department of Homeland Security

Maybe they can share them with the SEC officials who spent thousands of hours of “work” time viewing and recording hardcore pornography. Move along. There is nothing to see here.

Thank GW Bush and the airlines themselves. If Daley had just been told “no” and United had simply BK’d out of existence the whole industry would be healthier and we’d not need the TSA. Security would have been kept in private hands.

Some administration with vision should force all the airports in public hands to go condo and privatize the gates completely. Sell off the ATCS as well as the airspace just like you do with frequencies.

Those models get paid. You’re encouraging us to do it for free. What kind of conservative are you?

I despise TSA. It’s the most useless agency within the entire U.S. government.

But they’re unionized.

Can’t really see anything of substance with the images, just outlines. I can’t imagine anyone getting off on them.

Then you haven’t met anyone from the SEC, have you?
