That is not what I advocate, giving the state carte blanche to decide.

What I advocate against is the absolute slavish devotion by the state the children stay with their biological parents, which in many (if not most) cases means the biological mother.

Your experience appears to have been different than mine. I've seen CPS take children away from BOTH parents, for mild or even spurious reasons. CPS seems to want to put all kids in foster care and make them wards of the state, and appear to have carte blanche to do so.

Family court is where the bias for the biological mother is. The dad gets screwed 99% of the time, with custody going to the mom, regardless of whether the mom is a doctor or a crack whore. The difference is that with family court, someone in the family initiated the government's involvement. With CPS, they come and GET YOU.
