Yeah, my wife was born in September of 1971 to a 14 year-old Portuguese girl and was adopted at birth by her parents.

Had it happened one year later? Well, Roe v. Wade may have altered my life.

I made (avoided?) the cut by five years myself. I have no idea what situation my bio mother was facing, but her choice granted me the best parents I could have ever asked for. For that I thank her, whoever and wherever she may be.

Also, my wife wasn't adopted by her birth mother's parents. She was adopted by the people she considers her parents, as she should.
