It may be the peoples seat, but as far as U.S. Sen. Scott Brown is concerned, its Kennedys office.
Brown - a GOP superstar who vowed to remain a maverick on Capitol Hill - is symbolically crossing the aisle to honor the late liberal icon Edward M. Kennedy with a shrine in his former office, which was assigned to Brown by the Senate leadership.
While Brown famously said in a campaign debate that it isnt the Kennedy seat . . . its the peoples seat, he also expressed awe at Kennedys accomplishments earlier this year. He said one of his favorite shots of Kennedy would be a part of the memorial - a picture of the Senate stalwart conducting the Boston Pops.
When constituents come to Washington, they are interested in the history and legacy of this office. So, I dedicated a wall in our conference room to the former occupant - Sen. Kennedy, Brown told the Herald.

What the heck - you take what you can get from that part of the country. Don’t forget, if we can win MA, even with Brown, then EVERY state is now in play.
Brown made a bad decision, but I wouldn’t make too much of it.
Hmmm. That made me think of the ‘snow’ paperweights.
Perhaps little 2 dimensional scotch bottles swirling around the sunken car for personal votive shrines?
Scott Brown is being played by the D’rats as a “useful idiot”
What else would he do, take all the Kennedy stuff and throw it in the dumpster? Kennedy is a MA icon...so you gotta have a shrine if you want to keep up appearances...magritte
He's from Mass! I'd prefer that he throw the Dims a bone when it does not matter (like this) and vote solid when it does matter.
We can now present an actual photo of the real Kennedy Seat:
The same Scott Brown, that not long ago was being hyped by some on these very F.R. pages as Presidential ticket material? Say it aint so!
LOL --- Kennedy on the seat and the American people underneath it.
As long as we're talking symbolism, make the shrine an aquarium.
bfl
Don’t be foolish..the bottom line is it is a tourist attraction..so what..it means nothing except that Scott Brown is a smart cookie.
Now THAT’s what I’m talking about !
what is Brown supposed to do, rip down all of Ted’s photos and pictures? The media keeps trying to drive a wedge between conservatives and the moderate-conservative Brown. Don’t take the bait.
What accomplishments?
Agree. I see no harm in Brown making this symbolic gesture to a dead guy who, like it or not, was a senate icon for decades. Teddy can’t do any more harm. Let it go.
This is not a bad move for Scott.
