The American suburbs fueled the emergence of the Democratic congressional majority in 2006 and then helped expand it 2008. During those two election cycles, Republicans lost 24 incumbent or open seat races in these cul-de-sac filled districts.
But now suburbanites are shifting again. As a result, many of these districts could swing back to the GOP, providing more than half of the forty seats Republicans need to capture the majority in the House.
The battle for the suburbs will determine if President Barack Obama continues to work with his own party as the congressional majority or if Washington reverts to divided government.
Many swing voters live in the suburbs. As these regions grew following World War II, they became an increasingly large and pivotal piece of political real estate.

Assuming, of course, that we have free and fair elections.
If you are toying with the idea, better get out there and submit the signature forms--if it is not too late.
Lot of campaigning going on around here. The strategy is quite clear here, “constitutional conservative” is heard in nearly every message.
The time for us to effect the outcome is in the primary. Get out and vote in your primaries and get the right candidates on the ballot for the general. The rising conservative tide will sweep them into office.
I agree. The battle lines are being drawn all over the nation.
NC has packed house SCHOOL board meetings in Wake County that are getting heated and ugly regarding the cessation of the liberal bussing policies. It is at every grass roots level. Please conservatives, even just get involved at that level. They send their bullies and goons in to intimidate.
Ably assisted, of course, by the kamikaze morons in congress and the moslem Moron in Chief in the White House, all of whom, it would seem, are intent on destroying the democratic party and, with it, the United States of America.
Count on it.
Like it even matters! Voting for a republican is no better than voting for a democrat. I haven’t decided what to do in November but I can’t see myself casting a vote for representatives of either party.
And also DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH KNOW OBAMA SUPPORTERS if you can help it. Starve the beast from the roots up. Make them suffer, but good. This means not seeing Hollywood movies no matter how popular, where the top line actor or actress hates America and loves The Zero.
Not boycotting those who may have mistakenly voted for him in 2008 with regrets, but those, who having seen this Goosestep to Socialism, STILL unbasheadly service "The Messiah". Tell they WHY you will no longer do business with them, too. Tell them that it is way past personal. I myself have already starting doing this in certain instances.
IBTZ!
