This intrudes on the significance, meaning and honor bestowed on military Silver Star recipients.

The term Gold Star would work just fine.

The Blue Star represents those in Service

The Gold Star Banner, those who have given their lives

The Silver Star Service Banner is not associated with the Medal for Valor and was actually first started by the American War Mothers when they would sew over a blue service star with silver.

It fell out of use but is now back
