No presidential candidate should be required by law to show their birth certificate.

However, the hospital where the candidate was born should be required by law to send a certified copy of the birth certificate to every state house in America before the candidate is placed on the ballot.

Ummm... the hospital where I was born no longer exists. So, if I were a presidential candidate, they wouldn’t be able to provide a birthcertificate.

After thorough record checking, no Hawaiian hospital claims to have had a B H 0bambi (or any of his other aliases) born there.

So, I guess if no hospital produces it, he's screwed, eh?

Why would you put a burden like that on the hospital? They didn’t ask him to run for office. The burden should be on the one who is running.

You apply to get on the ballot with each state, and a state does not have the authority to compel a hospital in another state to provide it with a candidate's birth certificate.

They do have the authority to compel a candidate to supply it.
