The Liberty attack was pretty surgical - ALL antennae (including the wardroom TV antennae) destroyed with minimal loss of life. Liberty had been broadcasting in the clear and with light encryption what IDF was doing. IAF responds with “STFU” on a grand scale.
And how were the multiple torpedo hits used to shoot out an antenna?

24 hours before when it had been overheard broadcasting basically in the clear, IDF told DC move it or lose it. First Strike took out all antennae. When it didn’t leave? Quid pro quo.
