2 N. Korean spies arrested in Seoul

SEOUL, April 20 (Yonhap) -- Two North Korean spies have been arrested while plotting to murder a high-ranking North Korean defector, the prosecution here said Tuesday.

The North Koreans -- only identified by their family names Kim and Tong -- are accused of attempting to assassinate Hwang Jang-yop, a former secretary of the North's ruling Workers' Party and chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, under the order of the spy agency belonging to the North's Ministry of People's Armed Forces, the Seoul Central District Prosecution said.

It still baffles me why ANY western government would send even one iota of aid of any kind to North Korea, be it food, medical aid, or nuclear assistance (as Clinton was dumb enough to do). All that comes out of such help is nothing but bad things.

They are ramping it up, arent they? The Norkies.

First sinking an ROK craft in open seas, and now sending in a hit squad to get the old man.

They do this because they know Lee and Obama will do NOTHING. I have been worried if people like Hwang, or the former bomber, Kim Hyung Hee, were to visit Japan. Chongryong would be on their tail and the Japanese authorities would really have their hands full!

Sink Cheonan, kill Hwang, and carry out another nuke test, which could have a good chance of 'going off properly' this time around.

These things are also intended to put feathers on Kim Jong-eun's cap. Sinking of Cheonan and the third nuke test would be enough to make up for currency reform debacle.

Kim Jong il is issuing the orders. Fishlips is mentoring the boy, working on the training of the operatives for the "hit". When and if it goes down, he gets a chest full of ribbons from the Party and the Army for valiantly going after an enemy of the Revolution within the confines of the enemy South, a quite admirable act.

They will probably issue 30 won postages stamps over the fiasco.

One thing about this. The assassination order has been sent out and signed by Kim Jong il. Tell me what the US State Department must do in response.

Kim Jong Un initiatives, passage of rites, those kinds of things. Like gang initiates. Take down one Hwang and you will be in the Supreme Presidum of the Workers Party for life.

Recall our Ambassador for one. Freeze any delivery of any 'aid' for two.
