Check out Father Pleger's Easter homily in which he advocates a womens priesthood and says we don't need the Pope.

Cardinal George is arguably the most important bishop in America. He is the head of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops which sponsors the left-wing Catholic Campaign for Human Development. Time for the Pope to clean house.
He should join the Anglicans. Or start his own made up church.
My understanding is that there are at least some (if not many) decent,God fearing Anglican individuals and congregations.I think he'd fit in far better with the Unitarian/Universalists.
I always thought the Catholics had more structural discipline for dealing with hateful Keith Olbermann type thugs masquarading as priests?
Why is this monster still a priest? Why hasn’t Pfeger beenlong since defrocked and excommunicated?
By strict definition then Father Pfleger has just excommunicated himself.
Anyone?......Anyone?.....Benedict?....Bueller?......
Which explains to me the need to dredge up 40 year old scandals to weaken Benedict. If we apply the cui bono here, the Georges and Pflegers come out of it strengthened.
Mr Pfleger somehow doesn’t realize that he’s a Unitarian/Universalist.
It seems someone burned a question mark on their lawn.
Because Cardinals Bernardin and George allowed him to. He says things to tear down the Church that they don’t dare to say.
Whatever a priest does (i.e., if it’s ongoing) is the responsibility of his bishop. If the priest is a heretic, and the bishop does nothing, then the bishop is a heretic. If the priest trashes the liturgy, gives Communion to non-Catholics and non-Christians, and cavorts around the altar like a clown—then the bishop might as well be doing these things himself.
This is how bishops like Bernardin and George destroy the Church—by letting their “controversial” priests do the smashing and ranting for them, while the bishop poses as a moderate, faithful shepherd.
