"That’s the strange (nowadays) “peace” of many Tea Party rallies, that you don’t fear for your personal safety or your wallet, and everyone seems like an unknown friend.

So true. I've really enjoyed it. It feels like the old days when you could leave your door unlocked, or a good old fashioned hometown Independence Day celebration. It's a slice of America that many of us treasure and others seem to have forgotten or never known.

If you’re in an area where lots of businesses are protected by bars in their windows, you’re probably in a Democratic precinct.
