That’s the strange (nowadays) “peace” of many Tea Party rallies, that you don’t fear for your personal safety or your wallet, and everyone seems like an unknown friend.

The one that I went to was perfectly safe.

I'd not bring my kids to one, because 1) I'm a firm believer that kids and politics don't mix, ever. and 2) Who knows what NON-TEAPARTY nutjob will show up (there was one at ours, quickly handled). But....those points aside, I'd have been fine with my kids attending. It was perfectly safe, must've been easy duty for the cops who were there.

It wasn't a whole lot different from a church service. Same type people. Less sermonizing.
