Depends on the woman as to what's "necessary," but Macy's typically you're looking at dresses, tops, blouses, etc. But she says it's at every register. I was at a very high end place, "The Greens" yesterday, and the parking lots were full, the stores were full.

Lowes you can figure is people "making do" by repairing stuff, improving existing homes, or upgrading rather than buying new. But it was busy as heck, too.
