Yes people are spending but not to the levels before the recession. It is an enhancement over 2009 but still not considered high in comparison to the years prior to the recession.

There would be no GOP landslide if the economy is perceived good by the majority of voters and I am saying perceived good because there is no way under the sun the economy will be in reality in good shape as long the socialists are in power. Higher taxation and more welfare spending on the parasites would never make a good economy. But as I said before there will be a point in the next five years if the socialists still control all branches of the government where the economy will be so destroyed that no amount of propaganda and lies is going to convince the voters that everything is fine.

PS: Wait until the Bush tax cuts expire in December 31 2010 and then you will see the real suffering.

The economy was percieved as ok or good in 1994. Didn’t help the Dems then, because there were other big issues.
