While anexation, as we did in the Southwest, would be an option, there has never been an Israeli government that took that position. Since the position of every government since 1967 has been withdrawl from much of the West Bank, it’s reasonable to assume that will be the final result. In the absence of a negotiating partner, I think a unilateral declaration of what is Israel and what isn’t is preferable to neverending negotiation and pressure from the US and the Euros, but that’s only my opinion.
If Israel declares what is Israel, no one will accept it. They could give up everything but 1 square mile and as long as there was a single Jew still living there, it would not be enough for the arabs. And if it isn’t enough for the arabs, it will not be enough for the world.
The whole thing is to rid the region of JEWS. Remember what the place that is NOW Israel was like when they first returned after the war. It was barren and desolate. And that is what it would be again.
Everything Israel has conceded has reverted to the stone age. Israel made the Land green. The arabs have made it rubble.
