Lots of evidence in this case: protesters pictures of the event, city security cameras throughout capturing the mauling, and the attacker’s dropped wrist watch containing his DNA.
I would hope the NOPD is putting this all together for an arrest at any moment unless this evidence is all washed away as in the OJ trial.
The NOPD probably hasn't interviewed anyone beyond the two victims.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone in Congress or Louisiana government had a relative or child involved in this assault and battery. That would be why Jindal and the NOPD are dragging their feet.
