"Your age really is against you," Abbott said. "Even though I have qualifications and experience they still tend to take a younger person than older ones." On the one hand I give credit to Abbott for going back to school and taking minimum wage jobs to be in the work force. On the other hand, injustices abound in society and if you look for them you will find them. Best to avoid looking and doing the positive things that make a difference (like going back to school).
The real problem is that the democratic party is against Abbott. Their policies have hurt the economy big time and folks like Abbott suffer the consequences. I am not sure Abbott would be able to connect the dots.

In order to compete with the younger crowd, she's back in school at UC's Clermont College and works part time at Workforce One. "Working for minimum wage after making what I was making is disheartening," Abbott said.
This lady is the kind of American that we should support. She didn't sit on her hands; she went out and worked, even at a lower rate.
She should be shouting out to everyone she knows that you cannot increase a business's costs and not have it hurt someone employed by that business. Joe owns Joe's restaurant and what is left when everything and everyone has been paid is JOE'S income. Joe is not in business as some act of charity. He's in it to make an income.
If you increase his costs by a huge percent through increased government taxation, bumbling, and interference, then it's the government costing people their jobs...NOT JOE.
