Can’t you Badgers up there in Wisconsin find someone to depose that Commie Feingold?

Not as long as the state GOP won’t back anyone with even a faintly conservative platform. All they can respond to is Tommy Thompson and anyone who was part of his administration.

People actually think Finegold is centrist!

Anyone running against any donk here has to self-finance. Then they have to find some way of being heard, because the media is strongly progressive.

Then, just like SoDak, there are farmers who vote donk for the supports, in the national elections, but vote conservative locally.

If you are in business, you think 3x before even making a political comment. If you run as a conservative, you will lose customers, fast. This includes running at the local level, such as school board, but we usually do manage to get a few conservatives into the state legislature and on the county boards.

That said, we will vote for Scott Walker in the primary. If he loses, we will still vote straight GOP ticket. We will also vote for Wall, but I doubt he can win.

Things may be changing. I do hear rumblings, but I also hear people who just do not want to have to think about politics, much less discuss it, even with family. They simply want to be able to trust that they have elected people who will utilize common sense. It is going to take a lot of personal hardship for them to change.
