PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Ashley Elenea Burkett, a 32-year-old who taught reading and special-education students in Santa Rosa County, Fla., and was the assistant coach for the volleyball team, and April Burford Watson, a 33-year-old who taught math and was a junior varsity cheerleader adviser, each were sentenced to 15 months in state prison today in a sex-with-students case.

At least the women are not the fat, homely, fugly type. Kind of interesting of the double standard. If it was a male teacher, same age and 15 year old girls, he would have got more than than 15 months !
I can’t even come up with a theory that makes sense. They are 32 and 33 years old. What could the attraction be to a teenager? And the teacher student relationship makes it even more mind boggling. Haven’t they been reading the news? Don’t they know that teachers are going to jail every day for this?

I suspect radical feminist studies convinced some of them, those who couldn’t be swayed into lesbianism that is, that being a sexual aggressor and predator is somehow advancing equality. The irony, that they have to do so via boys and not men, is completely lost upon them.

Oh, they’ll probably be on a “leave of abscense” and get PAID while they are serving their time in prison. Why not? Others wait for years on abuse charges and get PAID while they wait for an outcome!
NYC to stop paying teachers to do nothing
NEW YORK (AP) — The city will end the practice of paying teachers to play Scrabble, read or surf the Internet in reassignment centers nicknamed “rubber rooms” as they await disciplinary hearings, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the teachers union announced Thursday.
The deal will close the centers, where hundreds of educators spend months or years in bureauratic limbo, costing taxpayers tens of millions of dollars a year.
“It’s an absurd abuse of tenure,” Bloomberg said.
