That doesn’t mean they don’t have a good bead on who the perps are, now does it? I would be surprised if they didn’t know and are collecting enough evidence to get warrants. Do the victims have any say on this issue? Can they file charges?

The woman is still in the hospital, I think. She's not quite up to doing detective work just yet. If you'll research all the threads on this subject, you'll see pics and videos of many likely suspects. I daresay we FReepers are miles ahead of the NOPD in working the investigation.

I’m not talking about the victims doing an invesitgation - by ‘they’ I meant the police, who generally keep information close because they don’t want the perpetrators bolting from the city.

In some locales the police can file charges against suspects without the victims being involved but there I don’t know how it is done, in New Orleans.
