After the night of the long knives in which Hitler purged his ranks of purported enemies:

Herr Adolf Hitler, the German Chancellor, has saved his country. Swiftly and with exorable severity, he has delivered Germany from men who had become a danger to the unity of the German people and to the order of the state. With lightening rapidity he has caused them to be removed from high office, to be arrested, and put to death.
The names of the men who have been shot by his orders are already known. Hitler’s love of Germany has triumphed over private friendships and fidelity to comrades who had stood shoulder to shoulder with him in the fight for Germany’s future.

Daily Mail, July 2nd 1934.

A city like New Orleans generally has a lot of crime and I doubt the police will give an assault and battery priority over murders, rapes, and robberies involving firearms.

...and no one is calling in the FBI?

The very question I posed to Gov. Jindal's press secretary. See the email in my blog. So far, no response.

It cannot be a political attack unless the person attacked is a democrat.

Everyone knows that.

This is always how it begins. Next the police will be co-opted, no where to run, no one to help, no one to investigate. Socialist anarchists like the Iron Rail will become more active, eventually forming one group.

Conservatives will call on their Republican representatives to “do something”, but those representatives will cower and run for cover, leaving a free hand for those willing to be violent without restraint.

All the while, the media will continue to pound home to the public at large that much of the violence is from “right-wing” kooks and needs to be suppressed.

“Traditional” (old school) Democrats will remain loyal to their party, giving the party money and time to defeat the media perceived attacks by “right-wingers”.

Various “right-wing militia types” will be rounded up by sundry government agencies as proof of the “dire threat” these groups pose to public safety.

Then ‘something’ will happen and the anarchists will come for the “traditional” (old school) Democrats. By then the violence internally will be approaching or surpassing the violence seen in the late 60s and early 70s. Hussein will declare a national emergency and the game will be over.

Many will ask “What went wrong? and “How did we not see this coming?” The answer is we did, but we mitigated the early warnings; we downplayed the significance; we willingly misidentified the people involved, failing to name the enemy - and so lost.

Perhaps present day conservative are just too kind, too willing to look for the good in other people, failing to see that some people are not redeemable: offer them a flower and they will still beat you mercilessly or worse.

The media runs with the phony “spit and slur” story for weeks and won't touch this. I hate the media and their demise won't come soon enough.

There really should be a very public push by the police, to enlist the (few) who protested the event who weren't there to stomp the crap out of a defenseless young woman and beat the crap out of her boyfriend.

The guys who did this have female friends; possibly even girlfriends.

Are these girls OK with the idea of these men's (their boyfriends, brothers, friends) brutal and bloodthirsty attack on a woman?

Don't these girls proudly march against the inherent violence of a patriarchal society?

Don't they demand a woman's right not be molested, not to be treated like a piece of trash, not to be kicked and beaten by men?

The women/girls who know these attackers should be outraged by the attack on this girl, and if they had any self respect or true belief in their radical feminist dogma they would turn these pigs in to the NOPD.

Just tryin' to think like a radical feminist...

They bring a gun, we bring a howitzer. These guys can’t handle confrontation, the second they’re attacked they run to their lawyers.

...and no one is calling in the FBI?

If some/any the various groups of protesters came to NO from out of state, couldn't this be a RICO issue that would be the invite the feds need to come in and take over the investigation?

Any signs in the videos or photos that say "San Francisco Radical Collective Against (Whatever)" or "Baltimore Bicycle Anarchists" or "Austin Iron Rail Affinity Group" or something that identifies them as out-of-state and affiliated, even loosely, to the NO organizers? That might be a foot in the door for a fed takeover of an investigation.

Darn, gotta go do kid stuff today. Carry on, you all are doing good work. I just can't keep up.

Villere opined to me yesterday that there were out-of-town elements that infiltrated the demonstration.
