Sadly, I was not able to make it to the local Ocala, FL Tea Party on The Square. I had to go meet my daughter’s school dean (she wants to be a cheerleader . . . my daughter, not the dean . . .). The Square itself is not very big, maybe could hold a thousand people, but more like 500 comfortably. I’m trying to dig up info on what happened, but our local paper, the Star Banner, is owned by NYT . . . .
The Ocala Star Banner (NYT) has briefly reported that there were about 100 people at the Tea Party on The Square yesterday. It’s buried in a “photo op” spread of 4 pictures showing close-ups only with one slightyly wider angle view of people holding signs. No story, no info. I’m sure the Star Banner (NYT) wants the Tea Party to die, quickly. They though a story on sotomayer here in Florida would be a much more interesting story. Hey, you know, that’s what the Star Banner and the NYT print: stories!
