With remote in hand and much trepidation I watched all three alphabet networks nightly national news presentations.
On a day when many Americans where focused on taxes and tyranny, all three networks chose to lead with a story of an ash cloud over their glorious mother land Europe. Spending 5 to 7 minutes talking to experts and bubble-headed color commentators, using computer generated graphs and schematics.
When they did get to the story I wanted to see they spent all of 20 -30 seconds and the news jockeys seemed to be dumbfounded and disappointed.

I was at our local Tea Party, and I caught the 10 o' clock news - wanted to see how they covered it. It was about a 5 minute segment. 1 minute was spent on the tea partiers. 2 minutes were spent on some damn fool who tried to get himself arrested. The last 2 minutes were spent on the counter protesters.... and FWIW, the counter protest was so pathetic that I found out I was sitting in front of it, and didn't even realize it. I watched the news and said "Ohhhh!!! So THAT'S what was going on....."
They undercounted turnout, as well. I'd guess that there were 2500-3000 people there, news said 2000. At least they were close.
