Silly, naive me to have believed that congressional staffs read and presented summaries and recommendations on the bills on which their bosses vote, even if the elected officials themselves didn’t read them. This so-called “health care bill” and the so-called “stimulus” bill” prove otherwise.
Unless there were guns to their heads and those of their firstborn, congressman with an ounce of integrity would have said, “We refuse to allow a call for a vote on this country-changing bill or any aspec of it until we have had at least month to review it.”
What a rapacious, self-serving pack Congress has proven itself. Even the Congressal Demoncrats surely see Obama for what he is. They could work together to stop him from his course of destroying the country.
Bad enough the members wont read stuff, but it’s pretty awful when their high paid staffers wont even read it either. I guess the good news is the pro staffers will support a repeal and replace movement now !
